Paw Paw Trail

Trail Length: 2.6 miles
The Paw Paw Trail is a wonderful loop trail the originates from the Nature Center. This trail is rarely crowded and offers an easy hike through the forests of Fall Creek Falls State Park. The trailhead is located near the Nature Center across the street from the restrooms. A marked sign indicates the beginning of the trail. After walking down the hill, the trail levels out for the rest of the hike. You will see a sign for the Cable Trail, which is a great side trail, but is much more difficult. As you continue, you will see side trails leading to views of the Cane Creek Gorge, Cane Creek Falls, and Fall Creek Falls. These offer a unique perspective for those who are accustomed to the other views of the falls. The trail leads through beautiful forests, ferns, and wildlife. We have seen deer almost every time we have hiked this trail.
