Fall Creek Falls Lake
And Marina

Fall Creek Falls Lake is a fantastic
spot for bluegill, largemouth bass,
and catfish.  The catfish are stocked
each fall.

No private boats are allowed on Fall
Creek Falls Lake. Canoes, flatbottom
boats and pedal boats are available
for rental at the Fall Creek Falls
marina.  Fishing boats are $9.00 per
day or $6.00 for a half day.  Canoes
and Pedal boats are $3.50 per hour.
You can also buy fishing lures and
bait at the marina.  If you would like
to use a trolling motor on the lake,
you must provide your own, as
rentals are no longer available.

There are plentiful shoreline spots
for fishing.  The two most popular
spots are on either side of the dam.
Some good areas can be found in
front of the inn, and if you rent a
lakeside cabin, you can fish right off
your back porch!
State Records at Fall
Creek Falls

The Tennessee state record
bluegill was caught at Fall Creek
Falls.  Weighing in at 3 pounds, the
fish was caught by Thelma Grissom
on June 27, 1977.

Falls Creek Falls Lake also is the
home of the Tennessee state
record for the catch of a channel
catfish.  Clint Walters, Jr. caught
this 41 pound cat on July 30, 1982.
Falls Creek Falls
Streams

Falls Creek, Cane Creek, and Piney
Creek traverse the park.  Cane
Creek and Piney Creek offer some
great stream fishing.  Bass and
bluegill are plentiful in the streams.
The creeks can be accessed within
the park boundries.  Cane Creek can
be reached near the Nature Center
or at the picnic area off of Highway
284 near the stables.  Piney Creek
can be accessed near the Piney
Falls swinging bridge, or by hiking
the overnight trails.
