Gorge Overlook Trail
Length: 1.1 miles (including overlooks)
The Gorge Overlook Trail is one of our
favorites at Fall Creek Falls.  The trail is
technically an extension of the
Woodland
Trail, but it forms a loop with Woodland that
make for a nice hike.

The trail begins at top of the hill where the
Woodland Trail forks to the left, and the
Gorge Overlook forks to the right.  The main
trail is a beautiful walk through the forest of
Fall Creek Falls State Park, but the real treat
is on the side trails.

The first side trail takes you to an overlook of
Cane Creek and Rockhouse Falls that is
much better than the view from the overlook
at the
Nature Center.  The next two
overlooks are views of the Cane Creek
Gorge, which are both spectacular.  The final
overlook is Rocky Point, offering a panoramic
view of Fall Creek Falls Gulf and Cane Creek
Gorge.  This point is visible from the Fall
Creek Falls Overlook to the left of the Falls.

Be careful when hiking near the overlooks
and Rocky Point as steep bluffs and loose
rocks pose a hazard.

The trail then loops around just a bit more
and meets up with the Woodland Trail again.
